This walk, in rural Otterbourne, looks at springtime flowers and recalls the story of those who plotted against King Henry V in the summer of 1415 before he sailed for France and, eventually, the Battle of Agincourt.

A walk to explore how the village of Hamble became embroiled in a plot to sabotage Henry V’s expedition to France in 1415 by burning his boats! This event is being staged by the Hamble Valley and Eastleigh Heritage.

Come and roam the quiet lanes of Old Bursledon, next to the Hamble River which was once a centre for shipbuilding supplying fine boats for the Navy, as far back as 600 years ago – including the 1415 campaign that led to the Battle of Agincourt – then, two centuries ago, others including Nelson’s “Elephant”. This event is being staged by the Hamble Valley and Eastleigh Heritage.
