Calling all web developers, 3D/2D artists, augmented reality experts and more – we need your help to create a virtual museum for one of Hampshire’s most significant historical landmarks; King Henry V’s flagship, the Grace Dieu.

Once one of the largest ships in the world, the Grace Dieu was a huge development in medieval shipbuilding technology and stood as an inspiring symbol of power for the King after his famous victory in Agincourt. Unfortunately, she only made one voyage before being struck by lightning and burnt to the waterline while laid up in the River Hamble, where the ship still lies today, buried in the mud.

Until now

As the culmination of the two-year Road to Agincourt project run by Eastleigh Borough Council, the Virtual Museum will provide an innovative online experience to educate visitors from around the world on the importance of our region in the run-up and aftermath of the battle, 600 years on.
